Privacy

MVFitness is a personal project. I'm Simeon Simeonov, I live in Bulgaria, and I build and run the app myself. That makes me the one responsible for your data. For anything about it, write to simeonovbtest000@gmail.com.

What I store

• Your account: the email address, name and password you sign up with. The password is kept only in hashed form by the sign-in service, which runs on my own server. I cannot read it.
• What you put into the app: workouts, sets, notes, exercises, routines, programs, records, and settings such as language, theme and units.
• Imports: when you import a file from Hevy or Strong, the app reads it to create your workouts and keeps a record of the import so you can undo it.
• Server logs: like any web server, mine records the IP address, time and address of each request. I use them only to keep the service running and safe.

What I don't do

• No ads, no analytics and no tracking scripts, in the app or on this site.
• I don't sell your data or share it with anyone.
• The only things kept in your browser are what is needed to keep you signed in, and on this site your choice of light or dark.

Where it is kept

On a server I rent from Hetzner in Nuremberg, Germany. Backups of the database are kept on the same server. Hetzner hosts the machine and has no part in the app beyond that.

How long

Until you delete it. In the app, Profile has "Reset my data", which removes your training data, and "Delete my account", which removes your data from the app. Your sign-in record (email and name) stays in the sign-in service until I remove it: write to me and I will. A backup made before you deleted something can still contain it until that backup is removed.

Your rights

You can export your workouts at any time (Profile, Export workouts), and correct or delete what you have entered. Under the EU's data protection law (GDPR) you can also ask me for a copy of your data, to correct it, to delete it, or to stop using it. I use your data only to give you the service you signed up for, and the server logs to keep it secure. If you think I have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Bulgarian Commission for Personal Data Protection.

Children

MVFitness is not meant for children under 16.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, I will change the date at the top. The app is at mvfitness.vinkel.org; the terms of use are on the Terms page.
